Truck stops throughout the U.S.A. have
security cameras established throughout the parking areas. And
there are also security cameras inside the shop and the eating
house where the truckers come in to eat. Most of these truck stops
know that truckers pull into these locations to catch some Z's and
shower among other things. The use of security cameras in these
spots are more in the region of where the truckers actually park
their trucks. This may sound as it's a waste of security camera
use, that the security cameras must be concentrated more on say the
gas and diesel oil pumping areas. As a matter of fact, there are
security locates in these fields as well.
The grounds for so many security cameras in
the fields where the trucks actually park to provide the drivers to
rest, is in all honesty a good one. This is the region of high
solicitation believe it or not, and most truck stops don't permit
solicitation on the truck stop property. There's also the high rate
of female solicitation to the truckers, and this being a growing
offense, truck stop owners are attempting to take further steps in
order to stop and have the actual bar of this happening on the
property.
The next issue in this field is people coming
up to the truckers wanting rides to different places. To some of
the truckers they do not like it and take it harassment, so the
following trip through they may not stop at this specific truck
stop and this makes the truck stops to lose money too. While to
other truckers, solicitation and being asked for a ride does not
trouble them. But with the use of security cameras and the parking
lots being well lit, this trouble is impeding to some degree. The
security cameras that the truck stops use are in plain view
deliberately. They wish people and drivers to see the security
cameras in the effort to avoid such solicitation. These
security cameras are also designed to resist the factors of the
weather condition.
Anyway,
for truck stop owners many will say at first that the security
cameras are an asset in the regions of the petrol pumps and in the
shop and eating place itself. However they'll also admit that by
placing security cameras in the fields where the trucks actually
park for drivers to take an easy nap have brought down the act of
solicitors and hitch hikers seeking a ride.
Various problems that truck stops have been
suffering have decelerated if not blocked off thoroughly, by the
use of more of the security cameras being located in the places
around the truck stop so making a safer and better ambience.
Many truckers are willing to stop to sleep
well they find there's less of a risk of being robbed or being
forced to be harassed by those requiring a ride or for other
reasons mentioned above, and thus truck stops can earn a larger
profit in the end.
