There are a number of companies offering home
security cameras, but one really stands out and that is LG. They
are a multi-national company offering the best in home security
systems. They are dedicated to providing the best and are
continually researching new products to improve their already
impressive line of security systems.
They have implemented a number of strategies
which ensure that they are always moving forward and always offer
new innovative designs – which are easy to install and use. They
offer competitive process in all of their ranges and have an
excellent global reputation.
Different models of LG security cameras
If you are thinking about investing in an LG
security camera, there are a few models in particular which you
should consider. The first one is the LPT-DW113M; a network
speed dome camera which boasts a built-in x27 optical zoom lens, a
day/night function, a slow shutter and 2 alarm connections.
A
more expensive model is the LG LVC-CS100NM camera which records in
color and has an indoor motion-sensing ability. It also comes
complete with a 2-way audio which can be used in conjunction with
an LG observation system. It provides extremely clear pictures and
comes with an excellent reputation.
One of the most popular features of this
camera is that it can track movement the minute any motion is
detected. This in turn triggers the ability to view the monitor
full screen, as well as activating the recording function. It
offers easy to use adjustments for volume and brightness and can
also be custom viewed, allowing you to make whatever changes you
feel necessary to gain a clearer picture.
The final LG security camera which will be
discussed in this article is the LG-LVCD100NM Color Dome. It is
designed to be used in conjunction with an LG observation system.
It features high quality CCD advanced picture quality, the choice
to adjust volume and brightness and also comes complete with a 65
foot long extension cable and mounting equipment.
When you actually go out and choose which LG
security camera you would like to buy, the two most important
factors to consider are how much you have to spend and which
features you feel are more important. There is no point in looking
at models which you simply can’t afford and there is also no point
in paying more money for features which you’re not actually going
to use.
4G SPY CAMERA with BLACK FINISH Accessories Included
Average Customer Rating: 3.0 Review (rating: 1): I am very disappointed. First of all, the product did not work and did not download to computer, even after downloading the included media player. Secondly, this product came with no written instructions to explain the operation of the pen or any troubleshooting information. Instead, it came with a disc containing what can only be described as someone's pathetic attempt to translate the instructions from some other language. The instructions on the disc contained incoherent sentences, comprised of words that are not in proper order and appear to have been mistranslated. The result is a bunch of useless gibberish. Lastly, the button to operate the camera broke and is now permanently depressed. Also the pen shown in the picture was not the same pen I received. Do not waste your money or your time on this cheap product.
D-Link DCS-45 Ip Camera Outdoor Enclosure Thermal Barrier
Amazon Price: $84.12 Used Price: $49.00 Average Customer Rating: 3.0 Review (rating: 3): The enclosure is nice but the installation of the camera in it leaves a lot to be desired. I tried to install a DCS 3220 which it says it can be done. The parts don't fit very well for a good sealed enclosure and the adapter on the camera had to be cut in two and respliced to be able to enter the encloure. There is a ferrite on the power cable I guess the engineer of the enclosure didn't think about when they designed the entrance holes. Also the bolt that mounts the camera doesn't tighten very good, was too long and had to be shimmed with washers. Needless to say, the enclosure is nice but be prepared to spend extra time trying to wire it. Be prepared to take an hour or better to install a camera.
Axis 0197004 210 Camera
Amazon Price: $455.26 Average Customer Rating: 4.5 Review (rating: 5): I have used one of these for over one year without a hitch. I use it primarily to monitor my lake cottage when I am traveling on the road. The motion detection software built in is excellent - very configurable to eliminate 'false positives', and much better than a PC based full-blown security system I use for home security. I spent over 1K for the PC system and professional grade cameras, etc and the Axis works better, was eaiser to configure, and the picture quality is better.
I have it set up to automatically send me a daily snapshot via e-mail to know things are ok. Also, I have logged in - literally from around the world - via a web browser to see the live feed. You can also configure the camera via the web browser.
The Axis always works and picture quality is great. A well developed and mature product.
Canon VB C60 - CCTV camera - PTZ - color ( Day&Night ) - 1/4" - optical zoom: 40 x...
Average Customer Rating: 4.0 Review (rating: 5): By looking at others reviews, I think others judge this new cam without knowing much about it. At first, I had some issues like the other reviews mentioned. After looking into the manual, many of them were non-issues. Let's go through them one by one.
1) Optic/Sharpness - I love Canon lens' Image Stabilizer (I.S.) so I immediately had it turn on. To my surprise, the I.S. in this cam is only a digital I.S.. That's my fault to assume this cam has an optical I.S.. If you turn it on, the image is digital processed and it won't be the sharpest. Don't turn it on unless your image is constantly blurry due to wind or from other factors. Even you turn it on, you would only notice the difference if you switch back and forth with and without the I.S. The wide angle view won't be as wide with the I.S. on though.
2) Zoom - It has 40x optical zoom!!! It's way way way better than VB-C50i's 24x or VBC10's 10x zoom. Once you turn on the digital zoom, you get another 4x on top of it. You can get to the digital zoom range in both admin viewer AND the normal user viewer as well. Yes, I just tested it myself to make sure it does.
3) Pan Angle Range - It's 340 degree!!! No other camera can do that. C50i has 100 degree and VBC10 has 65 degree.
4) On-board applets - It has both real-time image and still image calls. You can even custom make page and FTP upload back into the cam as well. It has sample pages showing you how to use each of those calls and how to set the resolutions and controls.
5) Webview Livescope - The CD comes with a lite version of it, allowing you monitor number of these cams and schedule recording. It records audio, video in mov, and video in avi. It takes about 50GB of space per day. Browsing and seaching recorded material is very fast!
My next cam will be anotehr VB-C60 for sure!
Axis 212 Ptz Network Camera Pan Tilt Zoom with No Moving Parts
Amazon Price: $608.08 Average Customer Rating: 3.0 Review (rating: 3): The Axis 212 is a good product, the picture quality is very good and it has great features. But the lack of night vision was a problem for me. It was easy to install on my network and simple to locate. I like that is has no moving parts. All in all a good product.
