Path Towards Self-Actualization: A Personal Growth Plan
Many people have a person growth plan that they are not even consciously aware of having. What exactly is "self-actualization"? How do you know if you've reached this personal goal? The term self-actualization has been used quite frequently without people really knowing what it means.
A personal growth plan is taking action to improve yourself and your quality of life. You might be learning how to garden, participating in a community book club, exercising daily or even writing in a journal. There might be things you are doing consistently that are actually part of a personal growth plan without even realizing that you are working toward a better you.
A personal growth plan is the process that you achieve being the best person that you can be. Part of the process is a step called self-actualization. Being self-actualized means being able to reflect about your life and feel content in knowing you have and are continuing to fulfill your destiny.
You may look at the concept of self-actualization and feel that no one really can achieve that type of contentment and fulfillment in their lives. It is just too huge a goal. The first step toward this goal is to sit down and really think about the things in your life that you need to focus on to become the person that deep down inside you are meant to be. Plan where you'd like to take your life before actually making a more formal personal growth plan.
Once you've evaluated what you want to do with your life and what direction you'd like to go for self-actualization, it is time to sit down and develop a plan. Commit to the plan by writing it down in a journal or speaking it into a PC diary. You will be able to watch your personal growth as you follow through with the plan.
A personal growth plan is an investment in yourself for both the present and future happiness that you so much deserve. Remember that the small steps toward each of our goals help us to reach the finish line and expand our horizons as we continue down the path of self-growth.
