Heartburn is a condition that is typically associated with a painful and burning sensation felt in the abdomen or chest.  Unlike during a heart attack, heartburn frequently leads to vomiting.  Heartburn symptoms are usually caused by diet - it usually affects people after they have devoured a large meal, or after they have eaten spicy food.  Heartburn can usually be soothed with an antacid tablet.
