The function of the outside ear is to collect sound waves. These waves vibrate the air inside the auditory canal which in turn passes the vibration to the eardrum. Inside the ear, the hammer bone is attached to the anvil and stirrup bones, which vibrate the oval window and the round window.  This vibration results in fluid moving to the cochlea, which surrounds the Organ of Corti. This organ is very important. It is covered with thousands of tiny hair cells which cause chemical reactions which create nerve impulses. The ear is a complex part of the body and the outer ear which we can all see is just the start. Beltone sell batteries for hearing aids, but you can also find tem in many stores and pharmacies so there should always be somewhere open if your battery runs out at an inconvenient time. Name-brand batteries are obviously more expensive that unnamed brands, but if you want to go for the named brands, you will find that it works out cheaper to buy in bulk and also, this way you do not have to worry about getting out to buy a new battery every few weeks. 

Beltone has products available throughout the US and representatives can visit to show you the wide range of products available. The only problem finding a representative would be if you live in a very small rural area.
