El Paso Weather: Generally Warm All Year Round

Because El Paso is located close to the dessert, El Paso weather is semi-arid and is usually warm even during the winter. The summers in El Paso are hot and dry, but because the humidity is low, this is definitely a different kind of heat than most people are used to experiencing. El Paso temperatures range between 28 °F and 114 °F, depending on what time of day it is. The days may be hotter, but at night, the temperature usually drops.

Anyone who moves to or visits El Paso will also discover that for the most part, there is very little cloud cover. This is why El Paso is known by its nickname, "The Sun City." When it comes to El Paso weather, residents may only get to experience 8.74 inches of rain from July to September.  This is caused by the different weather patterns that affect the region. The best way to get to know this part of the state is to watch a national weather station.
