Domed Security Camera Systems
In some cases, the cameras have their own lamps, using either visible or infrared light, to give a clearer picture at night. Some domed security cameras have more than 20 infrared LED lights, providing range of 40 feet or more, even in total darkness. Cameras designed for outdoor use should include anti-glare aluminum shields to block the sun from shining into the camera lens.While some security cameras provide traditional video output that can connect to a Video recorder, others connect to your computer network either via ethernet cable or via wireless LAN. Although it is possible to power the camera with batteries, in the long run it is necessary to provide wired power for constant service, with or without battery backup. Another alternative is to provide power over the ethernet cable to those cameras that accept this arrangement. The advantage of power over ethernet is that you can supply battery backup to a central location and provide power from that location to the cameras using the ethernet cable.
